End of the Kiln

The time has come: I’m shutting down Kiln of the Soul ministries. Feel free to steal that name.

This has nothing to do with the Radix Fidem covenant, or either of my blogs. Anyone who contacts me needing pastoral guidance will still receive it. And my wife and I will still host a house church; it just won’t have a name any more. We will be proceeding with our ministry work informally — underground, as it were. We need to prepare for persecution, to become an underground faith community.

I felt this burden a few days ago, but didn’t know what it meant until I was awakened in the middle of this night. I still say there are lots of changes coming for all of us here in the US, but it’s too big and too messy for me to get a clear picture. All I know for now is that I’m no longer going to engage in a public ministry here in meat space. I still have a prophetic mission, and I still have the elder’s calling, but I will no longer claim to be a clergyman. I’m just an old retired guy with an odd religion.

“I’m just an old retired guy with an odd religion” Well, I guess that can describe us all! Feels good.

Thanks, Sister. It does work well, doesn’t it?

  4. Jack says:

Will your past writings still be available on your Radix Fidem blog?

  5. Ed Hurst says:

Both blogs are identical up to the day I opened the Radix Fidem blog. I imported the entire archive from this blog into that one. The only difference between them is all the posts after the other blog started.
